Promoting the Validation of Informal and Non-formal Learning and the Development of Key Competences for Professionals in Vocational Education
Developing specific measures, instruments, strategies for recognition, validation and certification of the competences acquired in non-formal and informal settings and contexts of educators in adult education (AE) and vocational education and training (VET)
Based on the on the transfer and the combination of two innovative approaches: the Competency Framework for Adult Educators and the LEVEL5 system to validate learning outcomes into practice of educational professionals in vocational education and training, PROVIDE aims to:
- promote the development of key competences in AE and VET
- promote the validation of these competences
The main activities of the project include the following:
- transferring the competence framework, consisting of 19 key competences for educators into a competence based learning approach
- adapting the LEVEL5 approach to these key competences
- developing training modules on the use of the new holistic continuing professional development system (CPD)
- qualifying regional teams to apply CDP system
- piloting and evaluating the approach in the participating partner countries
evaluating the pilot phase and producing a brochure on good practice examples
